  1. Jolan Tru, Leo. This is a random first contact. We have a FB friend in common: Jed. Ok, so the review of video games I get. Review of wrestling matches??? You reside in the UK??? Brits are truly into wrestling??? I am not trashing, or sideways insulting any of your intent, just REALLY did not know Brits were into wrestling.

    • Hi Glenn, thanks for taking the time to comment. I’m not going to sit here and tell you that wrestling is massive in Britain; it isn’t. It’s very much a niche thing. Once upon a time back in the 60s and 70s wrestling was massive over here, pulling in TV audiences that rivalled those of big football matches, with stars such as Mick McManus, Jackie Pallo, Les Kellett and Giant Haystacks lauded as household names. Nowadays the only British wrestling on TV is a half an hour show on late Sunday night on a very obscure satellite channel with a budget that a shoestring would laugh at.
However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t wrestling fans around. WWE come over here at least twice a year to put on live events and film their TV shows, and tickets always sell out fast.
And British wrestling itself is slowly becoming more popular, small companies such as Insane Championship Wrestling in Glasgow and Progress Wrestling in London have growing, dedicated fanbases and regularly sell out 700/800 capacity nightclubs with their monthly shows, ICW was in fact the subject of an excellent documentary on the BBC a few months back (‘Insane Fight Club’ it’s called if you’re interested, I’m sure it’s on Youtube) detailing their growing success.
I hope this answers your question.
